MANDELAMADE DESIGN PROCESS

Here's a look at the process utilized for each and every project MandelaMade undertakes.

1 - MAPPING

A brand identity is nothing without its history. Understanding the lineage of a brand is an integral and non-negotiable procedure that takes place before a single sketch is made.

2 - AGGREGATION

Elements of a great brand identity can come from anywhere - local maps, photography, song lyrics, and so much more. An iconic brand mark utilizes elements that demand outside visibility while honoring local ties.

3 - DESIGN

This is the fun part of the process. From concepts, to sketches, to vector files, the brand identity transitions from a well thought out idea into a dynamic representation of a destination.

4 - EXECUTION

Delivering turnkey brand style guidelines, editable native source files (like .AI, .EPS, .SVG), starter templates, and staff training to promote internal & public adoption.

CAPABILITIES

ABOUT MANDELAMADE

Founded in 2016, MandelaMade is a place branding studio that helps towns, regions, and destinations build strong brand identities that embrace their uniqueness, evoke civic pride, and enhance their outward image.

MandelaMade's CEO and founder, Masekela Mandela II, started MandelaMade as a logo design studio in 2016 crafting numerous brand identities across a spectrum of industries. While MandelaMade has taken on clients and projects outside the field of logo design, they have renewed their focus on developing branding strategies for entities within the municipal, destination, and hospitality space.

The nimble structure and strong technical capabilities of MandelaMade have led to the company being a go-to marketing support partner for ESPN for over a decade. Since 2016, the firm has designed numerous graphics, templates, and illustrations for the ESPN Celebration Bowl and MEAC/SWAC Challenge college football games. Then, in 2023, MandelaMade was chosen to design the logos and brand visual identity for ESPN's first ever Band of the Year event. MandelaMade's work has been seen by millions across print, digital, in-person, and social media touchpoints.

MandelaMade is familiar with working with brands of all sizes, seamlessly collaborating with personnel and leadership, and ensuring that the end product is in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
